Value Scale practice coming soon. =) 2/17.

I've been practicing with drawing a lot in which is why I haven't been posting so much. I'm currently starting to work on portrait series-step by step. Right now I am working on a value scale for each of my pencils. That may be posted as the first blog post for the series later tonight or tomorrow. =).

How I draw realistic hair.

been working on hair since 5:00pm.  1.) I start with the side of the pencil and lay a base shading down on the strand.  2.) I blend with tissues.  3.) Then I start with the strokes with my 4h pencil or HB.  4.) I blend with tissues.  5.) I layer with my 2b pencil and blend with tissues again.  6.) I make highlights with a small eraser.  7.) Then I shade with a 4b pencil.  8.) I blend with tissues.  9.) I continue to shade the shadows with a 6b pencil and blend with tissues and blending stumps.  Finished the left side of the hair at 7:35pm.
