My Current WIP {Digital Portrait Friday.}

Happy Valentine's Day if I don't post tomorrow! I'm starting {Digital Portrait Painting Fridays}. So tonight, here is my current WIP. :). Debating of adding pink hair for haha because it's Valentine's Day tomorrow, or red hair to be more natural. I'm kinda leaning to a funky look. :). First step was in sketchbook express (building skin tones) then going into photoshop and continuing to build up skin tones. :). water color digital.

How I draw realistic hair.

been working on hair since 5:00pm.  1.) I start with the side of the pencil and lay a base shading down on the strand.  2.) I blend with tissues.  3.) Then I start with the strokes with my 4h pencil or HB.  4.) I blend with tissues.  5.) I layer with my 2b pencil and blend with tissues again.  6.) I make highlights with a small eraser.  7.) Then I shade with a 4b pencil.  8.) I blend with tissues.  9.) I continue to shade the shadows with a 6b pencil and blend with tissues and blending stumps.  Finished the left side of the hair at 7:35pm.
